Those Sierra Leoneans who think that nothing good comes out of our country will
be stunned and overwhelmed with national pride today when they tune their TV
sets to the Cartoons Network Show.
Nzinga Blake, daughter of former Information Minister and Mass Communications
Professor, Cecil Blake, has just broken new grounds for Africa in American
TV. Her dad , mum Mrs Hortensia Blake and sister Candace are already in Los
Angeles , California to celebrate the premiere of a brand-new show, "FRIDAYS" ,
which will be co-hosted by her in what is a glorious achievement not only for
Sierra Leone but the African continent.
No African girl has ever hosted or co-hosted a national TV show in the United
States. The CARTOON NETWORK is infact international and is viewed all over
the world. Nzinga Blake becomes the first known African girl to achieve this
goal. The program will be broadcast at 7pm Eastern and Pacific and 6 pm Central
